Tree Planting Dream

Internet Helping with Tree Planting At Polmont Community Hub,

we are passionate about trees. We consider their importance in all our activities, from reducing paper usage to supporting initiatives that help plant trees. Our preferred search engine is Ecosia, which proudly displays on their homepage that they have planted over 235,907,879 trees. While we haven't implemented our newsletter mailing plans yet, we intend to install EcoSend on our website as our preferred version of Mailchimp. Our Sustainability Manager is a member of the Green Runners community, where he promotes the "tees not trees" initiative, encouraging participants at running events to plant a tree instead of receiving a t-shirt.

Very soon, we will be in a position to start planting numerous trees around the Hub, and we aim to expand this effort to our communities in Upper and Lower Braes. This initiative is part of the Braes Friendly Growers' ambitious tree planting plan, inspired by reLEAF, which aims to double tree coverage in their parish over the next ten years. Recent research suggests that planting billions of trees worldwide is one of the most effective and economical ways to address the climate crisis. Wood is composed of 50% carbon, making trees excellent carbon stores that remove carbon from the atmosphere.

Tree planting is not only a powerful solution to climate change but is also accessible and involves everyone. One of the Hub's goals in the Neighbourhood Plan is for the Braes area to become carbon neutral by 2030. Braes Friendly Growers is a growing (pun intended)part of this Zero Carbon plan, and we hope to garner support from the Council. We want your help to reLEAF the Hub, the Braes area, and potentially even the entire district! we are looking for someone to volunteer as our tree warden,

What other role`s can be done in the digital world to encourage tree planting? One of our Sustainability Manager's favourite adventurous and inspirational heroes, is the brilliant Beau Miles, his most recently created YouTube video (he has done some corkers!) this latest incredible YouTube film called - using YouTube to plant a forest, where he is going to plant a forest funded by YouTube views. OH BTW,  if anyone knows of someone wanting to copy this idea for the braes area of falkirk, then we at the BFG`s and PCHub would love to hear from you
